Playground Sand

Our playground sand is the perfect consistency, not too fine but still very soft, and moldable when wet. Play sand is commonly used for play areas, volleyball courts, and artificial beaches. This sand is a fine, soft, tan material. Many question the difference between mortar sand and play sand. Both are very similar and often come from the same source. Occasionally, mason sand can come from a source that is crushed granite and would not be suitable for play sand. AZ Rock Depot has a preferred sand that is washed to remove a few more fine particles in Play Sand to keep it slightly cleaner than our standard masonry sand.

This aggregate material is a preferred choice by HOA Playground communities, schools, or those wanting to add it for their children's sandboxes.
